National Tribal Road Maintenance Symposium

May 14-16, 2024

The symposium is coordinated by the Northern Tribal Technical Assistance Program (NTTAP), part of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at North Dakota State University, the USDOI Bureau of Indian Affairs Division of Transportation, USDOT Federal Highway Administration Tribal Transportation Program and professionals from several Tribal transportation departments. The symposium is offered with sponsorship from the USDOT Federal Highway Administration Tribal Transportation Program, the Bureau of Indian Affairs Division of Transportation and UGPTI’s Center for Transformative Infrastructure Preservation and Sustainability (CTIPS).


Note: A limited number of scholarships are available for Tribal employees. Please send a scholarship request to ronald.hall@ndsu.edu.

Advanced Transit Professional Certificate

SURCOM and the NDSU Office of Teaching and Learning have partnered to provide persons who have successfully completed TRANSIT I – The Foundations (formerly titled Principles of Transit Management) and TRANSIT II – The Pillars (formerly titled Advanced Transit Management) the designation of “Advanced Transit Professional.” To verify your eligibility for the certificate with SURCOM’s training database, and to ensure that NDSU’s Office of Teaching and Learning has the correct information for their records, we need the following: (1) your name, (2) physical address for mailing certificate, (3) email address, and (4) telephone number.

The symposium is coordinated by the Northern Tribal Technical Assistance Program (NTTAP), part of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at North Dakota State University, the USDOI Bureau of Indian Affairs Division of Transportation, USDOT Federal Highway Administration Tribal Transportation Program and professionals from several Tribal transportation departments. Note:Each space is 10x10 with pipe and drape. Event breaks will be held in the vendor area. Setup will be allowed beginning 2:00 pm on Monday, May 13. All displays must be removed by 5:00 on Thursday, May 16. Each vendor space includes one registration for the conference including meals and breaks.
